Trans-Siberian Orchestra will be playing on QVC tonight (Sunday/Monday Oct 24/25) at midnight and again at 12 (noon) and 4pm on Monday.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra has announced their first ever live shows this Christmas Season. TSO will be appearing in New York, Cleveland, and Chicago on December 11th,  17th, and 18th. Tickets go on sale November 1st, but you can sign up now for special reserved seating!!! Check out www.trans-siberian.com for details.

Savacon '99  was incredible. Many fans turned out and there was a lot of cool merchandise for sale. Check out the work in progress, the Savacon Report, to catch a quick glance of the days events. Look for upcoming Savacon '99 coverage in Metal Edge and Metal Hammer.

Original Savatage drummer, Steve Wacholz, has taken a sabbatical from managing at Mars Music to join Crimson Glory. Steve assures us Crimson Glory is back and better than ever!!! Crimson Glory's new album 'Astronomica' is due in stores Oct 19th.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra completed the final mixes of their new album "Beethoven's Last Night" due out in January, 2000

Savatage is writing and recording their next release  titled, "Poets and Madmen" is expected in early 2000 (possibly April/May). This release will not be a concept/rock opera album like the  previous two releases, the band is going for more straight ahead hard rock/metal feel. The album is reported to be their heaviest album to date.

Savacon '99 registration is in full swing. This will be a great event. A bunch of people have already signed up. Check out the details Savacon '99

TSO members are in the final stages of recording for the next Trans-Siberian Orchestra release titled, "Beethoven's Last Night", which will be released January 2000.

The next Savatage release tentatively titled, "Poets and Madmen" is expected in early 2000. Savatage has not yet entered the studio to begin recording.

Chris Caffery finished his stint with Metalium. Chris is also on two tribute albums, Accept Tribute and an Iron Maiden Tribute. The Accept Tribute (Nuclear Blast #111847) is due out in late August. The Iron Maiden Tribute is due out in October.

Update from Chris Caffery. Criss will be in Hamburg, Germany for 2 weeks starting March 15th to Co-Produce the band "Metalium"'s debut CD. The band includes drummer Mike Terrana (ARLive/Yngwie Malmsteen/Tony MacAlpine/Artension)  and German Vocalist Henne Basse. This is the same line-up Chris recorded the song for the Accept tribute album. In addition to co-production, Chris will be playing some guitars. The record is expected to be released in the Late Spring/Early Summer. An interview with Chris Caffery is online at Sound Scape.

Jeff Plate attended  the NAMM trade show last week. Jeff was making contacts and looking for endorsement deals. Since finishing up the TSO gigs during the Holiday Season, Jeff has been practicing 4 to 5 hours daily and hopes to be in the studio soon recording tracks for Beethoven's Last Night.

Ellen Bakvis has moved the Criss Oliva interviews page to the Savatage Articles Page , added a couple pages to RockHard Legends and added a NEW page to the Articles Archive: Live Reviews.

Hard Rock Cafe, March 27th, 1999, Orlando Florida. Savatage members will be present for the unveiling of the new Savatage display. Many Savatage fans are traveling to participate in this event.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Christmas Eve and Other Stories achieved Gold status this Christmas. This a first for most the band members. The Christmas Attic was also well received and did well on the charts during the Holiday Season. Trans-Siberian Orchestra's Beethoven's Last Night is being written and recorded. Recording and mixing should complete in April, a late summer release is expected.
