The final concert of the European Tour in Duesseldorf was
- who will have any doubt - a great one. The Stahlwerk was
about 2/3 full. I think they did't sell more tickets because
of the high price of 43DM.
Mind Odessey and Rough Silk did a good job though they didn't
earn much attention.
Savatage entered the stage at 21.50, playing two hours of ass
kickin' stuff. The song collection was exhausting, since the
Streets Tour I've never heard Tonight he grins again again; it
made me shiver several times. The band seemed to be very tired
although they gave everything they had. The lightshow was very
impressive showing Zak in a ray of green exposing him as a messiah. In the show several musicians of the supporting bands entered the stage performing with the Tage.
Great show, indeed, but this is what I expected.
Goetz Kuehnemund of the German Metal Magazine Rock Hard was there moving in the crowd.
In the merchandising zone they sold several T-shirts, I was surprised to see the Gutter Ballet and the Edge of Thorns one, which I bought.
So, guys, that's all.
Hope to see them next year (hopely with a Dr Butcher tour)
