After reading Paul/Clays post I remembered talking to 'Doc' during the Streets tour.
He was saying how GB and Crowds were initially written for Streets.
Thanks for the flashback. I miss Steve, The WAREWOLF.
Scott, I think what they mean when they say "lost in Atlantic's vault",
they mean Atlantic owns the recording. Retreating the rights to your master reels
is a goal for any artist. It is out of their control unless negotiations and the right
price is brought up. It's not about "finding" them. If Atlantic wanted to use them,
they'd know exactly where to retrieve the masters. I hate this aspect of themusic business.
If you record material and a label decides to drop you, you can't take what's been recorded.
Unless a deal is made before hand.
Hopefully one day these "lost" tracks will be released.
