I used to be the same way about Van Halen. Eddie was my favorite guitarist, Criss was my second favorite. Even before the new VHIII cd came out I started to like Savatage even better. Once I heard VHIII I kind of thought the band was starting to suck. Savatage on the other hand has changed yet remained true to form.
I must say that Criss Olivas is probably my favorite guitarist to listen to now and if VH's next album is anything like III I don't even think I will waste the money. BTW did Queensryche play any of its new stuff? I hope they start cranking out tunes like they used to instead of the artsy fartsy stuff that was on their last two albums.
