Jackson guitars is just a name now! Grover Jackson doesn't even work for them. Here are 2 better options 1) look for a washburn mercury series guitar from about 1993 to 1995 These models were designed by Grover Jackson himself for Washburn. They are as good as any Jackson made when he owned Jackson. 2) Contact Carvin guitars. They will make a guitar to YOUR specs( color, wood, pickups, hardware, type of bridge, shape of headstock, type of fretboard, active pick ups, passive pickups, etc etc.) for significantly less than any dealer will. Their guitars make everyone elses look amatuerish by comparison. (including PRS or Gibson Les Pauls) Since they do all the work and set up themselves they can spend more time than any dealer can. Since they have no middlemen, they can charge significantly less too!
I wouldn't even dream of buying another brand. Visit their website.. and no they didn't pay me to say any of this. Ive just been playing their guitars for 10 years.
