Thanks to all of you for your recent e-mails requesting further information regarding merchandise, and the Hard Rock Celebration. Here is the update that Lori and I have been promising....
Merchandise sales have been going well, and we'venearly reached the original goal of selling 100 hats and posters.
A sample of the embroidering of the Savatage logo which will appear on the hat has been received and it looks great! The orders for the hats will be turned in on February 23rd, and should be finished around March 15th. All orders will be sent Priority Mail, and should arrive no later than March 20th.
There is still plenty of time before the February 22nd payment deadline to order either the hat or the Criss Oliva Commemorative Poster, so if you're interested please send e-mail to email@example.com. Please include your name, mailing address, the item(s) that you wish to order, and how many you would like. All proceeds will be donated to CADD (Campaign Against Drunk Driving) in Criss Oliva's name.
The cost of the hat is: $21.99 ($15.99-hat+$3.00-s/h+$3.00 to CADD)
The cost of the poster: $6.00 ($3.00=s/h+$3.00 to CADD)
Hard Rock Celebration:
An "official" date for the celebration has been set for Saturday, March 27th at the Hard Rock Cafe-Universal Studios in Orlando, Fl. The celebration will run from 7:30 to 9:30. The "Beatle Room" has been reserved in order to accommodate Savatage fans. There will be a $10.00 fee to attend, with the money to cover the cost of the room rental. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
As mentioned previously, several band members will be attending, as well and some of their family members. Also, the celebration will be covered by Paul Gargano and Fran Strine of MetalEdge Magazine.
Please be aware that if you're planning on attending the Hard Rock Celebration you mush R.S.V.P., via e-mail, no later than March 14th. Reservations are required due to an occupancy limit in the room and are on a first come, first serve basis. Once that number has been reached, no more reservations will be taken.
As previously posted, many people have expressed an interest in visiting Criss' grave. A lunch gathering, prior to leaving for Criss' grave, will take place at 11:30am at the Hard Rock Cafe. If you would like to be included in this as well, please make mention of it in your e-mail regarding reservations. The lunch will be held in the regular dining area, so a head count is necessary for seating purposes.
