Have you really listened to DWD and TWOM or did you just disregard them once you found out they were concept albums?
No offence, but I just can't understand how anyone can say that these two albums aren't very creative or even all that similar for that matter.
Yes, they both tell a story, have Jon singing leads on two songs, and have the same band line-up, but that's really where the similarities end.
Musically, these two albums are worlds apart. DWD is keyboard heavy and slower tempoed overall while TWOM is very guitar oriented and just plain rocks. The topics of the two albums have nothing whatsoever to do with each other: DWD's War in Bosnia versus the intermingled storylines on TWOM.
Though neither of these albums embodies the extreme emotion that Streets possesses, musically they are far more evolved and complex than anything the band had done in the past. There's so much going on during the songs that it practically makes your head spin when you sit and listen to it.
Just my two cents.
