I think that Criss liked the rock opera form, too. I'm no expert on the subject, but I think I read that he found Streets to be challenging, especially because he needed to convey so many emotions with his guitar and put more thought in his playing. From what I read he seemed proud that they were able to pull it off, saying that not many bands would be able to. He also said about EOT that the cover depicts the struggle between good and evil, and added that all the songs on the album were about this struggle. (Sorry I can't remember where I read this stuff) Not exactly a "concept album," but all the songs are united in theme.
