Think about this...you go to something like a CD show, or
else you buy a video from someone else for $20 +
That is money that is going to someone who is charging $20
for a tape that cost them $2 - $3 . A nice profit for the seller....
Money that is going to the seller, and 99% of the time the
recording is unauthorized - meaning the band did not give
permission for the show to even be taped, let alone for the
tape to be sold for profit by anyone. That is money the seller of
the tape is making that THE BAND could be making.
Also - the band was thinking of doing an official recording of
the Port Jefferson show, but with the radio station broadcasting
it , they chose not to, because they knew there would be a lot
of bootleg copies out anyway.
